Alex Larson is a Colorado born photographer and filmmaker. She is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts at Black Hills State University in South Dakota. Her work has been included in regional exhibitions and screenings.

Her work portrays her own derealization and the perceptions of mental illness and addiction uncovering the truths and myths behind them, while also occasionally highlighting how these issues tend to intersect with societal issues such as class and gender divisions. The often times dark and desaturated work conveys the grim haze of reality that many are thrust into both unexpectedly and generationally, shedding light on the parts that are often overlooked.
