Alex Larson is a Colorado born photographer, writer, and video producer. She is has her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Black Hills State University in South Dakota. Her work has been included in regional exhibitions and screenings.

Her fine art work portrays her own derealization and the perceptions of mental illness and addiction uncovering the truths and myths behind them, while also occasionally highlighting how these issues tend to intersect with societal issues such as class and gender divisions. The often times dark and desaturated works convey the grim haze of reality that many are thrust into both unexpectedly and generationally, shedding light on the parts that are often overlooked.
